This new Mini-Overhead Console is perfect for the person who wants a small footprint system, and also those who want to spend as little as possible for a quality American made Overhead Console, but get way more for the buck!
We installed an OB (off brand) AM/FM fully digital Mechless ( no moving parts ), head unit that is manufactured from a reputable source that have been dealing with for many years. The radio is only 45 watts total ( divided by 4 channels, two front and two rear ). This means that this will play at nominal volume levels which is great for those who listen to music at lower levels. This also means you won't get booming bass since it takes wattage to move those speakers, however at the optimum levels we have listened to this unit, the bass seems to be plenty for country, rock, pop, and big band music.
If you have to have it loud then we suggest some of our more powerful Brand Name systems.
As far as sound quality, which as most know is very important to us here at Rock'in Radio's, the volume knob goes to a maximum level of # 63. We find that with most music and inputs; USB, SD-Card, Bluetooth, and AM/FM, the sound quality is good up to # 50, where-as after it is evident that you have exceeded the radio's wattage.
